THERMISOL QH 10 is a thermally stable, high performance Quenching Oil with a high flashpoint and very low viscosity and it offers extremely rapid cooling. The product is primarily used in open facilities.
The use in closed facilities is also possible if the component weight to surface area ratio is within limits. THERMISOL QH 10 is normally used at temperatures between 50 °C and 80 °C. Short periods over this limit are possible and to a large extent unproblematic.
Benefits of using THERMISOL QH 10
Very low viscosity, minimal drag-out losses
Free of asphalt and completely neutral
Surfaces remain free of any deposits after quenching
No decompositions caused by treated parts coming directly from salt bath quenching processes
Not hazardous according to the law on hazardous substances
Free of chlorine and PCB, thus ensuring simple and cheap disposal

Application: Due to its very rapid cooling properties, THERMISOL QH 10 ensures excellent hardness penetration when forged and semi-finished components are tempered.
THERMISOL QH 10 can be used for the direct hardening of forged components using just forging heat in the screw and spring industries as well as in many other areas.
